My 100th Blog Post: Turning Page

Finally, I am here at my 100th blog post! Yipeee! Just a little glimpse, when I started blogging, I am definite that this won't last for months due to my busy schedules plus the fact that I am not into writing at all. BUT, this blog proved me wrong because I am enjoying every single article I am writing and makes me feel thrilled every time I share my shots with you guys! Not to mention gaining more friends in the bloggers world.

I've been thinking of good topic to write for this small blog milestone for days now until our cute little angel handed to us. On the 8th day of October, at exactly 10:34 in the evening, God asked His angels to send a lovely baby to us. Look how adorable she is! (just a proud uncle). Can't babble anything about her, because she' just so LOVELY! Take a look on some of the shots we took, my future model - Francheska Blessy Mariano. :)

Project 360: Catching up!

Who wouldn't want to earn extra while enjoying every snap? CLICK! It is like hitting 2 birds with one stone, right? One of the main reason why I've failed to manage my Project 360 the past few months (aside from stress which is already given) is my extra sidelines on photography. Now that I am back, I need to catch up with my Project 360. Here are some of the pre-nuptial shots taken last June here in Pampanga, Philippines.

I am so thankful for the trust these people gave me and I just can't hide the happiness and excitement while taking these shots. Again, thanks for allowing me to post some of the shots lovely couple. :-)

HURRAY!

For low profile people like me, it is indeed an overwhelming feeling to be given a chance to showcase our talent and be recognized. My entries, "Maleldo" (Lenten) bagged the first place - overall winner in the recently held Photo Exhibit Contest in our company. I am not trying to brag about this guys, I am just so happy and excited to share this with ya'll. :)

I must admit that there are a lot of good entries from other colleagues and I can't deny that I'm so amazed with their shots. I think I am lucky enough and so much blessed that my entries captured the eyes of the judges. Hurray! Here is the winning set.

Project 365: Maleldo (Lenten Season)

The observance of the Lenten Season in the Philippines has retained its solemnity by living with the traditions and beliefs from generation to generation.

During this season, devotees practice religious penance of flagellation which, according to their belief, a way of asking for forgiveness for their sins. Other devotees believe that by doing this act, they can seek for spiritual guidance and favorable divine kindness like healing an ill loved one. Pampanga is a province rich in culture, history and famous for its Cutud Lenten Rites tradition.

Every year on Good Friday, a reenactment of the passion of the Christ is being held in San Pedro Cutud in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Foreign tourists, observers and journalist including photographers from different parts of the globe assembled under the blistering hot sun just to witness this event. I am glad I was able to take some shots after a few kilometers walk and staying a 4 long hours under a scorching sun.
